Ethiopia Yukiro Cooperative

Yukiro is a high quality bean, with flavors that find themselves balanced between tart fruits, pleasant floral notes, and wonderful sweetness. The aroma mirrors the smell of sugar browning with subtle accents of black tea and lemon. The essence of honey and sugar merge with acidic lime, pink grapefruit, green apple and nectarine, as well as floral lemongrass to create a fresh and light-roast coffee.

The farms of the Yukiro Cooperative are located in the Goma Woreda, in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia, with altitudes averaging 6,500 feet in above mean sea level.

The beans are grown on these farms under shade trees: shade-grown coffee involves the plants being grown under a canopy of trees.
