Finca Buenos Aires is a large farm in the Jinotega growing region of Nicaragua. This coffee bean is from the Caturra varietal, which is a cultivated mutation of Bourbon that occurred in Brazil in the mid 1930’s, but planted in South and Central America mostly in the 1950’s. Buenos Aires is a rather low farm with this coffee growing at about 1200 meters above sea level. The Buenos Aires Caturra has a mild dry fragrance, with raw sugar and rusted nut smells, with dry accents. With a medium roast level, this coffee bean has a finish of Dutch cocoa powder and nut and dried apple flavors. This Caturra is a “crowd pleaser” that provides a balanced cup with a clean mouth feel.
